All due respect to Mike Blowers, who nailed his prediction, I think he was giving a pretty plausible prediction. Your first at bat is often to get a feel for the pitcher and set up the subsequent at bats. A 3-1 count is a swinging count, and it's a count where a pitcher often has to throw a fastball for a strike.

That's probably the single most straightforward home run scenario one could predict, with all the stars aligning for the hitter. Still it's really unlikely and Blowers went the extra length of saying it would actually happen at a specific moment.

These guys were giving me cash for the website and security system, but then it was bud-only payment for regular front desk stuff or budtending. I was trying to pay rent, so I had to keep looking.

So then I answered a craigslist ad lmao and got a new job. This place was one of those McCollectives: basically some filthy-rich russian real estate tycoons decided to open up 15 collectives all around CA. They were looking for a whole crew for 3 diff locations, so I interviewed and got the job down there.

I did not like the vibe of this new place at all. It was all about the money, half the staff didnt even smoke weed!!! 3/4 of the workers were family and friends of the owners. The manager's girlfriends were the receptionists, and im not even fucking kidding, one of them spelled "patient" as "pashint." And they made $1500 a week, $16/hr. Basically I quit after they lied about giving me a raise and increased hours after 30 days, because 15hrs a week at $9/hr does not pay the rent.

    Omfg. NO! NO! NO!

4 week old kittens do not drink water - they drink CAT MILK!

What nutrients does water contain? None. Cat milk has everything a kitty might need. (And gravy? Are you serious? Ingredients: salt, brown.)

I don't know if you've noticed but 4 week old kittens HAVE NO TEETH. So there's one of your problems right there. (Teeth start coming through at about 6 weeks old.)

But honestly - if you've really actually spent weeks with him I don't know how in the fuck it's not dead. Where the hell is his mother?

If you've just got him, please stop trying to force feed him like that with a syringe. It would be like using a hose. It's too much, you'll kill him. Please... just take him to a vet. Baby kittens little bodies can't cope with what you're describing. They just die.

You've yet to convince me you have any idea what you are talking about.

This whole sub-reddit is just a circle-jerk of cop-haters. No one here is legitimately interested or concerned about police brutality of abuses of power, let alone prepared to discuss it in an objective manner. You are all more than happy to keep your fingers in your ears and scream 'kill all the pigs'.

Why do I mention age? Because the attitude displayed so predominately on this sub-reddit is a very common one in adolescent males. And so is the vitriol. Adults tend to engage in discussion rather than *immediately* resort to name calling and offensive language.

I'm not hiding behind anything. You people simply don't know what your talking about. And instead of acknowledging your ignorance and taking steps to improve your knowledge, or attempting to see things from someone elses point of view, you *revel* in it, wallowing like a pig in shit.

I'm happy to discuss any issue you care to raise relating to policing. But currently there is no point, because all opinions contrary to your own are immediately descried as biased, corrupt, arrogant, etc. Attempting to explain why an officer made a rational and reasonable decision is futile if no one is prepared to listen.

You have no idea what I'm like as a person, or as an officer, but are more than happy to pigeon-hole me into your pre-conceived notion of how I must behave, based on my occupation.

Universal Healthcare vs No Universal Healthcare *is* a debate over fact.

One side has data gathered from around the world and the other side has lies and blind rage over having a black president (and a massive leaching industry willing to pour millions into saving itself).

The rest of the modern world has already decided on Universal Healthcare. You may not want it but the majority of your country does. It does to the degree that continuing to debate it, to fan the flames of non-existent controversy, is pointless.

    edit: typo.

You might be right, but still you are also reading too much into the license, you only have to publish changes you did in what was originally copyrighted and under the license. Didn't do any changes? Even better; you don't have to do a thing.

Any additions, any inclusions, simply place them in a separate file and don't publish them. Ship some code that doesn't even compile, and you are still compliant with the license. (Technically, don't ship he additions you did *inside* the files, and you are still fine. But how to ship it like that?)

There is a problem around 'use' because technically every version you every produce you are 'using' and thus you would have to publish immediately; that is an awkward thing, and an unwanted ward in the license.

But the goal of the license has to do with enabling contributions from (larger) companies. Developers usually want to contribute back, but are held back by their managers, especially when it comes to (L)GPL code.

A second goal is to force opening up changes to software running on a server.

Whoever wrote that knows jack shit about what is and is not normal in the criminal justice system. Also, that kid didn't walk away "SCOT FREE!!!" He is spending 5 years on probation and spent a year in a residential rehab.

As far as seizures go, that is really not a very large seizure of drugs. Nor is that anywhere even remotely near "the largest amount anyone in Alabama has been seized with and allowed to plea down to simple possession."

What a load of shit. That kid should have been fucked in the ass (literally) and sent to prison and had his life ruined? Yeah, that's obviously a far better solution. As someone who has been through the prison system, I guarantee 100% that the kid was able to plea down to probation and rehab because he had a good lawyer and family with enough money to go to rehab. Edit: AND BECAUSE HE COOPERATED FULLY.

Sensationalist, uninformed shit is what that article is, which I say even as someone who thinks the US legal system is a disaster.

I dont stress about anything, however I find the smallest things are what excite me the most. I feel emotions very heavily, but I just accept them for what they are, and almost reval in the difference of being.

However... Enthusiasm is a different matter. this hurts me in dating. There are girls, who are so attractive, but i cant build up enough interest to provide any effort in them. There are others though, that interest me, and finding one of these... well that is just amazing, and always an exciting time.

I should have mentioned this already, but I already did contact them. It was the first thing I did. They never replied to my e-mails and the pictures are still up on both sites.

I guess I could go the distance and contact the authorities, but for all I know these sites are run in foreign countries (I'm in the USA).

Besides, would it really help that much? If her pics are yanked from one site or the other, you just know they'll end up on a third. I'm more concerned with the *why* of "Julie" wanting to post them in the first place than I am in the *why* of sites wanting to host them.

Because that last question is easy: my sister is hot. It feels sort of creepy to say that, but it's true. Ugh.

I tested it, and it looks like you are right.

I had figured it would have trouble figuring out what to do with the sound in the case of a remote login, but that seems to not be the case. When I think about how the OS actually works, this makes a lot of sense. I tend to unconsciously associate sound and graphical environments for some reason, even though I know this doesn't really correspond to reality. That probably had something to do with my bad guess.

If one wanted to do the video rather than just the music, however, netcat still has an advantage. The netcat method allows graphical programs to be run remotely in such a way that they display on the system they are being run on, while the only two easy behaviours for ssh (that I no of) are to do without X or to use an X server on the machine that is being used for the remote access. There is undoubtedly a way around this if you try hard enough (probably by manually specifying what x server to use somehow), but I'm not sure quite how you'd do that off the top of my head and it is probably more involved than the netcat method, where that would be the default behaviour.

My rather contrived example kind of sucked. There are probably a few weird cases where the netcat method is useful, but I'm basically just saying it is something you can do, but not usually something you should do. Also, thanks for giving me the opportunity to learn something new about how ssh behaves.

Only way I could see it working(us not dying first) is to slowly update your body to robot/cyborg/whatever parts and nanites, and slowly have them replace and upgrade your entire body until you're a full robot/computer. Then you wouldn't really experience death per say. Cause every 7 years(I think this is the amount of years) or so your entire body is different anyways (cell wise). It'd be just like your growing/evolving more. When you get to a certain point you won't be human at all anymore, but you'd never really experience your death. That'll prolly take longer than 2099 tho...

    Socialized Health Care:

    Don't get sick

    Die Quickly

    Profit for the Government

Is it just me... or... wow, what's the difference?

Health care is free in America right now -- unless you make enough money to pay for it yourself.

I've spent a lot of time at the local DMV, and I've often thought, "Wow, wouldn't it be cool if my doctor's office was like this!"

I really like the idea of free health care. You know what I'm talking about don't you? The kind where you have to pay the government or they will send the IRS after you and put you in jail.

You can learn both at the same time. You'll be learning Django which will make you learn Python, and then you'll learn Python which will make you a better Django developer. I really recommend Django. It's the best web framework I've come across; having used CakePHP, Ruby on Rails, CodeIgnitor, and a few less known ones.

For your second question, Django is compatible with Python 2.3 to 2.6. It's too early to support/use 3.x . I would recommend learning Python 2.6. The differences between 2.x and 3.x are not that big of a deal and you could learn them in a day. They're just small difference that break backwards compatibility.

You say that being in a gang will lead to a longer time served.

Did you get to know anyone who seemed to be getting by just fine, then joined a gang and screwed up any chance of getting out early and made things much worse for themselves?

Any particular stories about something like this?

Also, how common is it for people in there to got educated like yourself and is it something to be proud of amongst the general prison population?

Anyone make a huge turn around for the better?

    *EDIT* for speeeling.

It's funny how the "whoever has the loudest voice is right" thing has sort of swung back in the other direction for smart people.

Everyone in that room is so dumbfounded at the aggression of this guy's statement that nobody seems to give a shit if he's actually right or not.

I'm going through the comments here and reading comparisons of his argument to death panels and it just blows my mind... Yes, they *are* very similar arguments. Almost identical. "If we do/don't do X, then X will die."

The difference is what Grayson said is *true* and death panels are made up. The deaths Grayson is talking about are real and happening every day and the deaths the Republicans are using to tear down this bill are an imaginary fantasy.

If you get sick, the insurance companies want you to die. The Republicans and the Democrats against reform take huge contributions from insurance companies. People are dying. They are profiting.

Am I the only one who thinks there's a slight tactical and ethical advantage gained by your ostentatious statement being *actually true?* I dunno, maybe it's me.

But damaging Linux/Foss is of greater value than patents to Microsoft.

    This clause

    >This promise by Microsoft is not an assurance that either (i) any of Microsoft's issued patent claims covers a Covered Implementation or are enforceable, or (ii) a Covered Implementation would not infringe patents or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

means Microsoft can offsell the patents to a third party to do their dirty work for them.

Microsoft has already been caught trying to sell Linux-relevant patents to patent trolls. Why not just avoid depending on their technology? It's not necessary, and is inherently risky.

Well than it just goes to show how pathetic and shallow a person can be, worrying more about being accepted more than your own health, or what is ethical.

I bet you wear skinny jeans and follow the scene crowd to, right? Since that's popular and all.

Do yourself a favor... quit saying that nothing wrong has been done to do... instead of being a victim of some fucked up ritual, take a stand against it and help show that our children shouldn't be mutilated for profit... because that's exactly what circumcision is. They try to make us feel that it's normal so they can get away with it because they make millions of $$$ off it every year.

The reason she's behaving like this is probably because of her rape incident. Rape either causes you to shut down sexually or it causes you to go into overdrive, and it sounds like your sister is doing the latter. Why? It's not an attention thing so much as it is confusion about having control over one's own body. Doing this allows her to expose herself in an unhealthy way, yes, but all the same, by her own volition. This is an empowering sense for a woman who has been raped. (that doesn't mean that it's ok or justified. That's just what's happening).

I have actually survived rape, and I didn't go down this path, but I did go down a pretty promiscuous one (which I have now overcome). My older brother heard the stories and talked to me about it, plain and simple. Knowing that my brother cared about me, and that I was worth something more than my sexuality, probably saved me from a lot of hurt.

Point being: you talking to her about it is awkward, yes, and she may deflect. But starting out a conversation with her is important, because you're in a position to save her from a lot of pain.

"Hey, I was wondering if I could talk to you for a minute. Listen, I really love you, and so I was worried when I came across these pictures of you on the internet the other night. Your sex life isn't my business, but all the same, I'm here to talk to you, should you ever need anyone."

I didn't get laid until I was almost 20. I've had more pussy than most toilet seats. Just chill out, be yourself, and don't worry about "how to succeed with women." Most often, succeeding with women comes from a few things:

    1. Being generally positive.

    2. Being successful. (not like, rich, but, just be good at whatever the fuck it is you do with your life, that is all.)

    3. Being comfortable with yourself. (be able to act around women how you act around your close friends.)

    4. If you're like me, and lack *real* social skills, learning to be a funny witty jerk really helps. Women always dig a dude who can make them laugh.

Now that is what I call government intervention in the market place.

I just wish Americans had this kind of 'can do' attitude again.

Where did our obsession with getting things done go? We have always had huge government programs to move us into the future. We will have no future if we just sit back and think it will magically happen on it's own.

The detractors have obviously ignored the phenomenal growth rates of India, China and Brazil. You can say all you want about these countries not being able to perform, but the fact is they are performing and well above your expectations I would guess.
